  {"id":1631,"date":"2019-06-24T22:15:56","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T22:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/csb\/?page_id=1631"},"modified":"2023-06-23T15:48:33","modified_gmt":"2023-06-23T20:48:33","slug":"synchrotron-access","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/csb\/facilities\/labs-instrumentation-facility\/biomolecular-crystallography\/synchrotron-access\/","title":{"rendered":"Synchrotron Access"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Beamtime access during the APS Dark Period<\/h2>\n<p>91ºÚÁÏÍø crystallographers have access to macromolecular beamlines through membership in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ls-cat.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Life Sciences Collaborative Access Team (LS-CAT)<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aps.anl.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Advanced Photon Source<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anl.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Argonne National Laboratory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>LS-CAT provides a significant amount of beamtime throughout the Dark Period to 91ºÚÁÏÍø researchers via LS-CAT Block Allocation Group proposals to NSLS-II at Brookhaven National Laboratory, Diamond Light Source in the UK, and ESRF in Grenoble, France.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Dark Period Beamtime, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/ls-cat.org\/darkperiodtime.html\">https:\/\/ls-cat.org\/darkperiodtime.html<\/a>. The website is continually updated. Check the website each time you want to request time for the most current instructions and information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please read the following additional instructions from LS-CAT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The &#8220;arrive to&#8221; LS-CAT deadlines for your dewars for each upcoming synchrotron visit are on our home page.
