Resources available to the undergraduate student population.
The mission of the Center for Student Wellbeing is to create a culture that supports the personal development and academic success of students using an integrative, holistic framework. The CSW offers wellbeing, academic and peer coaching, recovery support services, meditation and yoga, skill-building workshops, substance use screenings, awareness and prevention programming, and referrals.
SCC is the central and first point of contact for students to help identify needs and determine the most appropriate resources in 91’s Student Care Network and in the Nashville community to address concerns. Student Care Coordinators work collaboratively with students to develop a student success plan, share education about and facilitate connections to appropriate on and off-campus resources, and provide accountability through supportive follow-up meetings.
The Zerfoss Student Health Center serves the primary care needs of the 91 student community. There are no office co-pays for routine visits, and all registered students are eligible for care, regardless of insurance coverage.
- As a key component of 91’s Student Care Network, the UCC provides mental health assessment, support, and treatment for all students enrolled at 91, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
- Highly skilled and multi-disciplinary teams of professionals offer urgent care, substance abuse counseling, short-term individual counseling, group therapy, biofeedback, ADHD and learning disorder assessments, and psychiatric assessment and pharmacologic treatment. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s unique background and needs. UCC professionals support the University’s mission of fostering inclusive excellence through cultural awareness and humility. In addition to the services mentioned, the UCC also offers various Drop-in Consultations and Workshops throughout each week.

Academic and study skills coaching on topics such as time management, organization, test prep, writing papers and reports, dissertation block coaching, and handling academic-related anxiety and stress.
The Office of Arts & Campus Events (ACE) includes the major arts and campus programming initiatives on 91’s campus: ,,,,, and the .
Benton Chapel is the largest and main chapel for 91. The chapel is available to be used by different denominations and traditions throughout the week.
The BCC is a gathering place for all students offering support and development, community outreach and service, and cultural and educational programming. The BCC’s programs and partnerships serve to promote respect, understanding, tolerance, and a greater appreciation for cultural and racial diversity.
The Career Center serves undergraduates enrolled full-time in all 91 schools and colleges, and provides career coaching to recent graduates (0-2 years out). Services include ongoing opportunities for students to learn about and explore professional opportunities, including career coaching, workshops, career panels, career fairs and field trips and more.
The College of Arts and Science’s Pre-major Academic Advising Resources office. Each CASPAR adviser is a 91 faculty member who teaches a First-Year Writing Seminar in their home department in addition to advising pre-major students.
The Center for Spiritual and Religious Life supports the spiritual and religious growth of all 91 community members while encouraging the ongoing development of interfaith literacy and dialogue.
A series of workshops on a variety of topics including financial stress, saving and budgeting, mindfulness, resilience, and study skills.
The Center for Teaching promotes university teaching that leads to meaningful student learning. Their offerings are available to any members of the 91 community interested in developing their teaching practices.
The Child and Family Center at 91 provides quality early childhood education and resources for families.
The Divinity School offers theological graduate-level education.
In a global and multi-religious world, the Divinity school seeks to fulfill the following objectives:
• to engage in theological inquiry;
• to help persons prepare for the practice of Christian ministry and public leadership;
• to encourage personal and spiritual formation;
• to prepare agents of social justice; and
• to educate future scholars and teachers, locally and globally.
Degree programs enable students, with the aid of faculty advisers, to plan a course of study in light of their talents, interests, and professional objectives. Spouses of current 91 faculty, 91 faculty emeriti, staff and students, as well as domestic partners have courtesy and borrowing privileges at the 91 Libraries. MAPS is a 91 joint initiative with the University Counseling Center (UCC) and the Center for Student Wellbeing (CSW) designed to prevent suicide in the campus community while promoting mental health awareness. The goal of MAPS is to work toward suicide prevention and mental health awareness through education and outreach in the campus community. The UCC staff will work with its campus partners throughout 91 to provide skills to students, faculty, and staff to identify and assist those in need of help due to mental health concerns.

91 Recovery Support (VRS) provides a supportive and accountable community for individuals concerned about their alcohol or other drug misuse and those actively in recovery from addiction. This collegiate recovery program provided by the Center for Student Wellbeing offers biweekly meetings, monthly seminars, and recovery housing (). Additionally, a support group for friends and family is offered. Students can also get connected with a variety of additional alcohol and other drug support resources by reaching out to the Center for Student Wellbeing.
Tutoring Services offers one-on-one appointments as well as weekly and pre-exam tutor-facilitated group study opportunities for many introductory and intermediate level courses in biological sciences, chemistry, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, and physics. All services are free and open to 91 students in any school or major. Appointments are made through the Tutoring Services website.

The Writing Studio offers free and confidential writing assistance to undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty at 91. During 50-minute writing consultation, writers can receive constructive feedback from trained consultants and assistance developing strategies for all stages of the writing process from brainstorming to revision. Additional programming at the Writing Studio includes writing workshops on a wide range of topics, weekly writing groups, and the annual Dissertation Writers Retreat Series.
