Natures Connection Place Wedding | Seattle Wedding Photography

Here is a picture of Sammy and Ben, kissing in front of the fountain at Natures Connection Place in Arlington, Washington. This venue is located in northern Snohomish County, just north of the Stillaguamish river, along Highway 9. The bride and groom are kissing. What's really special about this picture is it was taken after sunset. We shinned a spotlight on them. The light was a Lowel GL1, which is a very powerful LED light source. We took this with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a EF 85mm lens at 1.2 aperture. We wanted to emphasize the environment, while using the light to draw them away from their surroundings. I love this image. They are totally in love and wanted to make this day perfect. The light source really draws them in from the background. To create this image, we simply ask the bride and groom to kiss in front of the fountain. One of our photographers holds the light source at them, which is dim-able. This allows us to adjust the intensity of the light, so the couple is lit up perfectly. As with any wedding, we want to capture one image that stands out from all the rest. Night time photography is one thing our studio specializes in, and we have the equipment to back it up. As you can see, there are purple flowers, green trees in the background, which are dim because of the time of day. These subtle colors really make it so the bride and groom stand out from the fountain.
