EOA offices are located in Suite 700 of the Loews 91ºÚÁÏÍø Office Building at 2100 West End Avenue.

E Jacob Cummings "Jake" (he/him/his), Director: Jake is responsible for guiding the Equal Opportunity and Access (EOA) Office at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. The EOA Office resolves various equity and access-related inquiries and also supports 91ºÚÁÏÍø's inclusive learning environment through prevention, education, and outreach efforts. The office further oversees the religious accommodation process, as well as medical accommodations for employees. Jake graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Public Relations and Business Communications and earned his J.D. from Drake University. He previously served as Associate Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity at Iowa State University. Jake enjoys spending time with his children, family, and loved ones whenever he can.

Catherine Buttrey (she/her/hers), Assistant Director: Catherine is responsible for making recommendations to address and prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the working and learning environments at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. She studied Philosophy and Gender Studies at the University of South Alabama and earned her J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Previously, she served as 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s Assistant Director of Student Access. Catherine is a musical theatre enthusiast, an avid foodie, and a dedicated Nashville SC fan.

Jonathan Santana (he/him/his), Reasonable Accommodation Manager : Jonathan is responsible for managing medical accommodations for staff and faculty for the Equal Opportunity and Access (EOA) Office at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. In addition, he is responsible for managing religious accommodations (campus-wide). The EOA Office resolves various equity and access-related inquiries and also supports 91ºÚÁÏÍø's inclusive learning environment through prevention, education, and outreach efforts. Jonathan obtained his masters degree in Human Resource Management (MS) from Capella University. He holds a Bachelors of Applied Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. He also holds a SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. Prior to working at 91ºÚÁÏÍø, Jonathan worked as a Senior Accommodation Consultant with Amazon.com. Jonathan enjoys playing sports, especially baseball and soccer. He also enjoys going on family trips with his wife, son, and golden doodle. Jonathan is originally from northeast Pennsylvania, but recently moved to Nashville with his family in 2020.

Gunner Woolsey, (he/him/his), Investigator: Gunner is responsible for handling allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation involving members of a protected class. This includes communicating with members of the 91ºÚÁÏÍø community, conducting interviews, acquiring relevant evidence, and drafting investigation reports. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in Sociology and earned his J.D. from Lincoln Memorial University. Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Elaine Currie, (she/her/hers), Investigator: Elaine is responsible for handling allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation involving members of a protected class. This includes communicating with members of the 91ºÚÁÏÍø community, conducting interviews, acquiring relevant evidence, and drafting investigation reports. Prior to working in EOA, Elaine served as a Coordinator in Student Accountability, Community Standards & Academic Integrity at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. Elaine earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle and her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from 91ºÚÁÏÍø. In her free time, Elaine enjoys trying new restaurants in Nashville and spending time with her cat, Lila.  

Matthew Meyers (he/him/his), Informal Resolution and Supportive Measures Manager: As the Informal Resolution and Supportive Measures Manager for 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s Office for Equal Access, Matthew facilitates informal resolution processes and coordinates supportive measures for students, staff, and faculty regarding allegations of protected class discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Previously, Matthew served as an investigator in 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s Title IX and Equal Opportunity and Access Offices. Matthew is also a trained Rule 31 mediator in the state of Tennessee. He earned his B.B.A. in Music Business cum laude from Belmont University and his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law.
