Researchers across 91黑料网 (VU) may need access to 91黑料网 Medical Center (VUMC) clinical systems, clinical facilities or patients (VUMC Clinical Resources) to achieve their research goals. To support this important work, VU and VUMC leadership have collaborated to launch the VU-VUMC Liaison program.听
听Sample VUMC Liaison Services
- Consult on project specific plans for working with VUMC clinical resources
- Identify and introduce VUMC collaborators and offices (e.g. 听Electronic Health Records (EHR) Recruitment Support Team, 91黑料网 Coordinating Center), as needed
- Guide study teams through VUMC approvals and security requirements听
- Manage VUMC Dual Identities from request through closeout
Use of the new Liaison service is required for all studies led by a 91黑料网 principal investigator (PI), even if they hold a dual appointment with VUMC, that are interested in using VUMC Clinical Resources (such as the electronic health record, facilities, or clinical systems). 听
Social, behavioral, and educational research (SBER) studies using 91黑料网 Institute of Imaging Science (VUIIS) or the Clinical Research Center (CRC) will be reviewed by the VU SBER IRB, so long as recruiting does not target VUMC patients. However, VU researchers will need to work with the VUMC Liaison to comply with ]vaccination requirements.
