About Us

Located in Euclid House on West Side Row, the K.C. Potter Center for LGBTQI+ Life is open for student group meetings, programs, and events. Named after 91ºÚÁÏÍø’s long-serving dean of residential and judicial affairs, the K.C. Potter Center is a place of affirmation for individuals of all identities, and a resource for information and support about gender and sexuality.

Featuring the most comfortable couches on campus, a usable kitchen, and an extensive LGBTQI+ DVD and magazine collection, 91ºÚÁÏÍø-affiliated groups and offices are welcome to reserve the center for events and programs.

History

About Our Namesake: K.C. Potter

The late Dean K.C. Potter standing in front of the center named after him.
K. C. Potter.

K.C. Potter, 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s long-serving dean of residential and judicial affairs, retired after 36 years at the University as a student and administrator. Potter cared deeply for all 91ºÚÁÏÍø students, particularly marginalized students, including 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s LGBTQ2S+ population. Potter was the first administrator to reach out to them, give them a voice, and help them stake their claim on campus life. For almost 10 years, Potter let 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s LGBTQ2S+ undergraduate student group, Lambda, meet at his home on West Side Row.
